At CFS, we focus on four key businesses– shelf life solutions, aroma ingredients, health & wellness and performance chemicals. Apart from offering high-quality traditional antioxidants for the food, petfood, and animal nutrition industry, we have a product basket which can cater to a wide range of industries. Over the last three decades, we have earned customer loyalty with our market knowledge and expertise, product offering and customer service.

From an ink and colour company, we have transitioned to a fine sciences firm retaining our original culture of innovativeness, our keenness for technology development and our passion for integrating the value chain both upstream and downstream. 1947

A SUPERBRAND IN THE MAKING

Camlin begins to offer a whole range of art material and stationery products including chalks, rubber stamp pads, gums and adhesives, wood pencils, drawing colours and geometry boxes, besides other professional and student products. By now, Camlin is a trusted household name in India.

1984

WANTING TO DO MORE

With a view to diversify into fine chemicals, Camlin set up a new ultramodern plant at Tarapur, India, to manufacture antioxidants for the global market. The Camlin Fine Chemical & Pharmaceutical Division was born.

2006

WANTING TO DO IT BETTER

To bring greater focus to its core purpose, this new division was demerged from the parent company and an entirely new entity was formed called ‘Camlin Fine Sciences Ltd.’

2007

GOING PUBLIC

Camlin Fine Sciences (CFS) gets listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

2011

OVERSEAS EXPANSION

In a major milestone, CFS acquires Borregaard Italia SpA, a Hydroquinone and Catechol^® manufacturing facility at Ravenna, Italy through its wholly-owned subsidiary in Mauritius.

Camlin Fine Sciences (CFS) gets listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

2014

OVERSEAS EXPANSION

Operations in Brazil takes off as production of antioxidant blends for food applications commences at our 100% subsidiary company CFS do Brasil Ltda.

2016

SPREADING FOOTPRINT

Our recent enterprises include the launch of CFS North America, LLC. Acquisition of a 65 % stake in Dresen Quimica S.A.P.I.de C.V., Mexico and its group companies and subsidiaries

2017

PORTFOLIO EXPANSION

In Nov 2017, entered into a preferred supply agreement with Lockheed Martin Advanced Energy Storage for manufacturing and supply of a specialty chemical.

In July 2017, with acquisition of 51% stake in Ningbo Wanglong Flavors & Fragrances Company Ltd., China, CFS became the 3rd largest producer of Vanillin in the world.

2018

STRENGTHENING FEED

In April 2018, CFS enters into an Animal Nutrition joint venture with Pahang Pharma (S) Pte. Ltd., Singapore to form a holding company, CFS Pahang, for its subsidiary.

2020

GREENFIELD EXPANSION

Successfully completed the greenfield expansion and commenced commercial production of its Diphenol Facility in Dahej SEZ.

As a Corporate, CFS is accountable for effecting social change with its business practices and profits.

The Company believes that Corporations have the power to solve social issues and bring-in a difference. CFS’ involvement in development projects such as environment, healthcare, child education in different states of India helped people to attain a sense of belongingness, to be more self-dependent, and live their life with dignity.
